Mods that I have been nervous about are (Populated Series, Incosequential+3DNPC, Immersive Series, Fight Against Thalmor Quest) However many people seem to work with these just fine.
My goals for this playthrough were admittedly steep: Ultra HQ textures, Realistic/Immersive, Populated. The most recent change I made was following the tweaks suggest by the Skyrim Stability Guide: Tho currently my game CTD/Freezes when first loading from Alternate Start, I need to play around with ENB Boost as this is the newest addition and i am the least familiar with ENBS. So I am at least partially confident I have not messed things up on my end (TESVEDIT loads everything, BOSS reports no warnings or dirty edits, Bashed Patch/DSR Patch get written to overwrite and are activated properly, etc.) Additionally my machine should be able to handle a large amount of mods. I have become fairly experienced with MO, BOSS+userlists, Wyre, TESVEDIT, custom patches (DSR, FNIS). Whiterun has been particularly a problem, as a I made my "Base Test" for okaying my stability being able to initiate the Helgen Reborn quest, which I have never gotten to. most recently with the STEP Extended+Explorers pack) and CTD within 1-5 of turning on, or freezes loading. Though I have had some success each and every build gets to a certain point (ex. I have done significant testing throughout, and started new games (vanilla/alternate start) with each build. I have followed GEMS, STEP Extended, stickied guide r/skyrimmods, and initially my own random combination (And built incrementally once going past STEP). I have tried 3-5 MO profile setups and all are resulting in CTD. I recently built a gaming computer for modded Skyrim.
